Deaths In Police Custody

Read the articles and weep

FACT: You're more likely to be arrested or brutalised by Police if you're black!

FACT: You've got more chance of dying in Police Custody if you're black!

FACT: The Police don't like Article 2 Of THE HUMAN RIGHTS ACT - Right To Life! Unless it's their own lives, which they bleat on about risking every time they purchase a bottle of milk!

Just out of interest, why do your labels at the bottom of this post only refer to "black people", "police brutality", "death in custody" and the HRA?

Do you not know that white people die in custody too? Do you not know that most people who die are either ill, under the influence of drink or drugs, non-compliant with police, or all 3?

Do you not know that "police custody" refers to a whole lot more than actually being in a cell. It can mean that you made a report to police about a window being smashed 24 hours before someone came round and clobbered you to death. It could mean that you were steaming drunk and walked out in front of a police car and were knocked down. It could mean that you were pointing a gun at police shouting "Im going to kill you, you scum filth pig b****ds" before being shot.

Of course everyone has the right to life, and what about the hundreds of thousands of people who are in police custody or prison who do not die every year? Do you consider them in your biased agenda based blogging?

Do you consider the rates of DIPC against arrest rates by ethnicity or background?

Or do you expect the police to have the miraculous power of being able to stop someone dying just because they are black?

Perhaps you are suggesting they should administer some lethal injections to white people just to keep the balance?

FACT: You are more likely to be shot dead at your place of work in the UK if you are a police officer than any other profession. (excludes military on tours of duty abroad).

"...non-compliant with Police..."

That about sums it up really.

Does the phrase 'Institutional Racism' mean anything to you?

I see you never answered any one of my questions, and in particular the one about white people dying in police custody.

And how on earth can me saying that any person dying in police custody could be ill, on drink/drugs or non-compliant be linked in any way to racism?
